Hi there! I am Stephanie. The little one in the picture below, is my daughter, Penelope. The love of my life! She was born on 11.11.09, at home, in water and into my own two hands. You can read more about her birth here. Since I had a tough experience breastfeeding, I love to help mothers overcome any obstacles in their breastfeeding journey. My experience taught me a lot and I am always willing to help. You can read about our breastfeeding struggles here. And my natural miscarriage story here.
So glad you are at Mama and Baby Love! I am over-the-moon excited to share with you all the things I am passionate about. Basically, I love all things mama and baby and healthy living. I don’t consider myself an expert in any one thing, I just like to share my experiences of what works for me. I get the most joy out of simply passing information along and helping other mothers. I am all about learning how to nourish and love myself so that I can nourish and love my family.
I think that motherhood is one of the most sacred thresholds we will cross in our lives and the ultimate personal transformation and spiritual journey. I love helping women feel happier and less overwhelmed about their journey through motherhood, and connecting with and mentoring other mothers while we are all in this journey together. I try to keep things as funny as possible, because I like to make people laugh, but consider this your official warning, I have a bit of a potty mouth.
While I am serious about living as healthy as possible, I am not perfect. I gave up trying to be the perfect eco-friendly, yoga goddess, healthy version of Martha Stewart a long time ago. I try not to give myself a hard time if I decide to use some spray paint in a DIY instead of No-VCO paint or I head to Chick-fil-A on a particularly hairy day to make life easier. I do the best I can, have high expectations for myself, but when I fall short I brush it off and keep on trying.
I am not the best cook, I am self -taught and still learning, but I care deeply about Real Food and figuring out the easiest and best way to get real food, healthy dinners on my table every night for my family. I want to nourish my family mind, body and spirit and cooking them good, healthy food is a way I show my love for them. My slow cooker freezer meal eCookbookhas been a huge time saver for me. And I hope it has helped countless other mothers as well. My recipes are simple, healthy, and made from fresh, organic ingredients with an emphasis on local farmer’s market bounty. Of course, I incorporate freezer cooking into all my meals to make life easier.
I’m passionate about photography, all things handmade, storytelling, community building, eating organic, real foods, living a mindful, peaceful, healthy life, and always trying to be a better person. You can read more about me here and here.
