Loved this article about what makes a great yoga teacher, makes me miss teaching.  Maybe I will start up a class next year?!

I do not advocate eating ANY of this candy, although I may or may not have raided my daughter’s candy pile for some butterfingers, but this video is hilarious.

This sweet little boy, just about my daughter’s age, needs some prayers, he got hurt in Hurricane Sandy,

This book looks so cute, Uppity Owl Upcycles a Brooch.

My cookbook got some great online press recently.   Prudent Baby and Ring Around The Rosies gave it great reviews, thanks ladies!

We had such a blast trick or treating this year.  What a difference a year makes.  Penelope really got it this year and was running from house to house saying Trick or Treat!  It was really a joy to watch, loving these moments.

Here are some shots of the parrot costumes I made.  Penelope asked to be a parrot because she loves the movie Rio.  She wanted me to be Mama parrot, she wanted to be Baby parrot and she wanted Peter to be pirate.  She was very specific.  Then right before Halloween, she said “I not a baby parrot, I a big girl parrot.”   And thank God for Pinterest. I would have never been able to think of this on my own.  I pinned a couple of tutorials and ideas on my Halloween board and combined them to make our own version.  It was a pretty time consuming project, but it was fairly easy.

I guess I put my hand on my hip and don’t realize it, because Miss Sassy Pants is constantly bossing people around with one hand on her hip and waving the other hand in the air.

Bethany, one of my friends since childhood, had an amazing Halloween party while we were visiting her in Savannah.  She just had a baby, but still managed to do DIY costumes for her entire family.   What a cute clown family!

Taylor, a stay at home mom and longtime MBL reader, sent me this picture of her handmade costume that incorporated her baby and baby carrier.  SO AWESOME!!

Hope you all had a great holiday!  This weekend I will be selling my print cookbooks locally for the first time at holiday shopping event called Jingle Jubilee, that benefits the Junior League of Tallahassee.  I am nervous about the long hours away from Penelope and just standing there like an idiot and not selling any books, so say a prayer for me.
