How freaking cute is this picture?! It was drizzling on this day and Penelope said she wanted to go outside and do yoga in the rain. Who am I to say no? So for about ten minutes she was doing mountain, warrior and tree poses, outside, in the rain, naked.
I am a Certified Yoga Instructor and a Certified Itsy Bitsy Yoga Facilitator and I have been teaching yoga on and off since I was 18 years old.
I have read tons of yoga books and watched even more yoga DVDs. I love trying them out, learning new poses, or picking up on phrases that teachers use to describe the poses.
I often get asked what books and DVDs I recommend, so I thought I would give a run down of my favorite books and DVDs for kids.

This post could not have come at a better time! My son LOVES yoga day at his preschool each month and I’ve been searching for something we could do at home together. There are certain times of day when we all need to drop what we are doing and do a little yoga to keep the meltdowns at bay! Thank you!
That. Is. Adorable.
Right?!!
Any yoga suggestions for adults? Are these above suggestions good for mommy and toddler to do together?
Yes, I mean its not gonna be a hot yoga class where you feel like you got a great workout and plenty of “me” time, but all the poses are good for adults and are perfect for a mid day mommy stretch break.
Awesome! It was so cute to have our 2 and 4 year olds try and follow along with us doing yoga this morning. I love that there are things aimed to their level! Thanks for the post!
