From Your Freezer To Your Family. Slow Cooker Freezer Recipes for Every Season. #fromyourfreezertoyourfamily #mamaandbabylove

The latest cookbook in the From Your Freezer To Your Family series is here: Slow Cooker Freezer Recipes For Every Season!

This cookbook has over 75 recipes!  Including the best of the best from my very first slow cooker freezer recipes cookbooks.

I have spent the last year and half creating this cookbook.  All recipes have been created, tested and re-tested by me, M+BL staff, and an ARMY of moms!  These recipes are the cream of the crop, only the best of the best. This book blows my first book out of the water.

You’re not only getting more than 75 recipes, I also include information on other cooking techniques for these recipes if you have time and want to branch out from the slow cooker. Each recipe includes information on the original slow cooker freezer method, as well as instructions on browning first then slow cooker, or cooking it on the stove top or in the oven with a Dutch oven.

ALL the recipes are 100% Grain-free, Gluten-free and Dairy-Free.  They do not contain corn or legumes (both are not technically grains but extremly hard to digest and common allergens).  My recipes are all Paleo, Whole 30, Weston A. Price, GAPS, and Real Food compatible meals. These recipes do use natural sweeteners in some of the recipes, but if you are eating completely sugar-free, omit the sugar and the recipe will still taste great.

This way of cooking has changed my life and enabled me to take care of myself and my family. I am so excited to share with you what was worked so well for me!

From Your Freezer To Your Family. Slow Cooker Freezer Recipes for Every Season. #fromyourfreezertoyourfamily #mamaandbabylove

I first started using my slow cooker about eight years ago. At the time, it was emotionally all I could handle. I didn’t know how to cook and I had no interest – being in the kitchen brought up painful memories of my childhood. It reminded me how much I longed to have a loving and caring mother who cooked meals for me. So, instead of really feeling and owning those emotions, I just stayed out of the kitchen and ate what was familiar and comforting—mostly junk food like potato chips, cereal, and sandwiches.

One day, I got the urge to buy a slow cooker. I figured I could stand being in the kitchen long enough to chop up some vegetables and then dump it in the slow cooker and run like hell. And lo and behold, it worked! With minimal effort, I could actually make a home-cooked meal!

But after awhile, even chopping and getting myself organized in the morning before running out the door to work became difficult. And even more difficult when my daughter Penelope arrived. When my daughter was about 4 months old, I got into bulk and freezer cooking and would do long days with a friend to make a month’s worth of food. After a couple of times of doing that, I figured there had to be a more efficient and healthier way to prepare large amounts of food.

Then I had my ah-ha moment. I decided to try chopping and assembling ingredients for several slow cooker recipes at once. Instead of cooking them and then freezing in portions, I decided to try freezing immediately after assembly and cook it later.

And again, lo and behold, it worked! I could pull out a meal from my freezer, totally frozen, dump it in my slow cooker, and have a tasty meal ready for my family by dinnertime. I felt like I had invented electricity! Both my husband and daughter ate it and loved it! I was so excited!  There we were eating a perfectly healthy, grain-free, dairy-free, made from scratch meal that only took me a couple of minutes to prepare.

I shared about it on my blog, MamaAndBabyLove.com, and later it went viral on Pinterest. It was bananas! I couldn’t believe that other people were interested my idea to streamline freezer prep and slow cooking.

It’s been over three years since I started cooking this way and almost two years since my first cookbook came out. I have been floored by the massive amounts of rave reviews I have received about how this way of cooking has changed lives of moms. These are some of my favorites comments:

“I started using your recipes a few months ago when I went back to work after my son was born. I have saved so much time and energy! It is so nice to take one day every couple of weeks and freeze meals away and then the day of drop a bag in the crock pot. Instead of worrying about what I’m making when I get home at 5:30, I know that I just need to prep a side and then dinner is already done. Thank you so much!”

“We have now gotten to try all of your recipes at least once and we are huge fans!   I made them all one day when I was 34 weeks pregnant and then had my daughter at 36 weeks.  We (five of us) have been living on them and I still have 4 more bags to go!  Looking forward to the new recipes and my next big cooking day!”

“I just ordered your cookbook and I must say, your recipes have changed my life!!  I have a 6 month old son and a very busy work schedule, I love that I can come home and have a wonderful dinner (and lunches for the next day) ready for my husband and I with so little clean up.  I deal with a lot of guilt about not spending as much time with my son as I would like to because of work, but now I’m able to spend so much more QUALITY time with him in the evenings.  Thank you for writing this cookbook, but also thank you for giving me more time with my family!”

“Hi Stephanie! I bought your freezer/slow cooker recipe in anticipation of a huge kitchen renovation. I wanted to have lots of meals for my family ready to go into the crockpot, which is basically the only appliance we have for 4 weeks (and a microwave). I prepped a freezer-full of your recipes in the month before the start of the renovation. I’m midway through the renovation and have made at least 5 of the recipes already – they are great! So thank you!!!!”

“I just have to tell you, we purchased your cookbook and have loved everything in it. My husband is thrilled that they are not only healthy, but seasoned perfectly. All I did was follow your instructions! Thanks!”

But every so often, I would get an email or comment from a mom who was distraught because the recipes didn’t work for her and didn’t turn out flavorful enough. While those comments have been rare, they haunt me and break my heart. I have always been clear that I am not chef, I am simply sharing an idea that works for me and my family. I am so passionate about this way of cooking because it gives me and other moms more time to themselves—time they can spend taking care of themselves and working on their personal growth and healing journeys— the real mission of Mama and Baby Love. So, for over a year, I poured myself into testing and tweaking recipes, and had an army of moms re-test my recipes to make sure my explanations were clear so that all moms have the same success I do with these recipes.

This book explains in more depth, and much more clearly, exactly how I have success with this way of cooking. How to get a flavorful, perfect slow cooker meal EVERY TIME. How to make it work for your family. When you get the cookbook, be sure to read the entire assembly section before starting – vital information is in there.  I hope that, as they have for me and thousands of other moms, these recipes fill your home with warmth, love, nutrition, and, best of all, delicious food. I am excited for you to begin feeding yourself and your family healthy meals with ease!

  1. Hi Stephanie,

I downloaded your book today and am excited about it, buuuuut it didn’t work right. I was able to download the pdf but not all of the text shows up. This appears to only be with the ingredients – I only printed one recipe so far to make sure my eyes weren’t just tired. For example, cumin beans – this is how the ingredients list reads….

    3 ups onions, hopp
3 to 4 jalapeno peppers, chopped
    6 to 8 g ri lov s, jopp
    4 y l v s
    t l spoon of umin
    2 t spoons of s alt
    t spoons of p pp r

And then the other ingredients on the right (Add day of).

So what do I do?? Thanks!

  2. April Thomas says:

We purchased the ebook but never received a link to download the book. Help!

  3. Hi Stephanie! I bought the eCookbook this week and am excited to prepare the slow cooker meals this weekend!!! I cannot find (I know I’m just overlooking it) the size labels I need! Could you share?

    Thanks!

    Natalie

  4. Hi! So I am interested in buying your book! buut, do I have to use paypal? because i would much rather use my debit card…..please let me know, also…I’m not sure if I’m even on the right site to buy the book..thanks!

    • Yes, right now the only way is paypal. I think you can do an e-check through them if that helps. I do plan on putting it on amazon later this year and then you could use your debit card then.

  5. HI Stephanie! I tried to order your ebook just now, and Paypal (I think) was acting up. It took my info but then gave me an error message that said: “This invoice has already been paid. For more information, please contact the merchant.” Can you help and/or tell me if my payment went through? I’m eager to get cooking! Thanks so much, Victoria

  6. Hello – I would love to download your book, but would you be able to help with converting some recipes to UK ingredients? Some things aren’t available here (like buffalo sauce) and some sizes are different (I have no idea what the size of an American stock cube is for example).
    Thanks

    • Oh gosh, I never thought about that! You don’t have BBQ or hot sauce in the UK? I had no idea! I actually have a homemade verision recipe on my blog as well. Let me think about how I could the conversions, I think it is too late for this book. But I will def do it for my brand new cookbook coming out next year.

  7. Just read the entire cookbook, so excited to try it! We received a huge bag of cilantro from our CSA this week, so our first recipe to try will be the Cilantro Lime Chicken. :-)

  8. It is probably hiding in plain sigt, but how do I order a copy of the book in print?

It is neither Eco friendly nor modern, but I love me a cookbook. :)

    Thank you!!

  9. Hi Stephanie, I just bought you ecookbook and I am anxious to try your recipes. I am having a problem downloading the book. Ejunkie said to contact you because the link expired. Help. Thanks!

  10. HI
I tried to download your ebook to my kindle fire today. After I paid for it and got to the download page &it said it was starting, nothing actually happened and I didn’t get the download.

    • Hey Deb, it is a pdf so it won’t download to a kindle. If you have a smart phone or a regular tablet, it will though and of course you can download it to your computer.

  11. I have the original version of this cookbook, I bought it in July. Do I have to pay full price for the update, or is there a discount of some sort? Thanks!
    Dawn

    • Sorry Dawn but there is no discount for those who bought the book back then. On top of the 15 new recipes, I revamped the entire book. I am going to have a little flash sale for Valentines Day soon, only folks on my email newsletter list will know about it, so get on that if you haven’t already!

      • That is disappointing. I’m sure I would have waited had I realized. It seems like most of the eBooks I’ve bought, when updated that author provides the update for free, or there is a coupon code for previous owners. Sort of a goodwill gesture to encourage positive word of mouth. It is just too expensive to buy the same book twice.

        • Sorry about that. I am pretty much winging it here and learning as I go. I will see if I can try to figure something out. The next book will be a completly new book, and not an update.

  12. I’m trying to download the ecookbook but when i click on the BUY NOW a “pin it” box pops up… I can never get to where i can buy it :-(

  13. Do your chicken recipes use chicken breasts or whole chickens? We raise and butcher our own chickens, so I always have whole chickens.
    Thanks,
    heidi

    • You will like my recipes. I use all different parts for that very reason, except I buy our chickens from a local farmer and do not butcher them (mad props to you!). And even if my recipe calls for thighs, you could use breasts or legs and vice versa. :)

  14. I picked this cookbook up as part of a wellness bundle after seeing a guest post on 100daysofrealfood.com LOVE it! Such an awesome way to cook. It has also inspired me to prepare some of our old favorites this way too. I have found that the portions are very generous for our family of 3, so I started dividing them into 3 packages instead of 2. Works well. Great job!

  15. I’m a huge fan and love the recipes I’ve tried so far. I was just making a shopping list for some I haven’t tried yet and was looking at the Thai Chicken Curry (from the first book) and it calls for coconut milk – I am wondering if this is canned milk or the milk in the dairy case? Thanks a bunch!

  16. In your ebook, you have a grocery list. Is that all the contents that you need for the three meals listed on top of that list?

  17. Lindsey Brader says:

I love love love this cookbook! The recipes are healthy, delicious and so easy! Best of all, my 18 month old son gobbled up a huge bowl of the Thai chicken curry. I have never seen him eat such a huge serving of anything other than milk! Thank you so much for putting this book together and making it available! I love your blog too! Take care!

  18. How many servings do your slow cooker freezer recipes make? I can’t seem to find this info. Thanks.

  19. Hi. I purchased your Slow Cooker Freezer Recipes eCookbook a couple of months ago, thought I saved it to my computer, but now I can’t find it. And I can’t find the link on my email to download it? Anyway you can help me?
    Please.

  20. oops, I realize that I bought it under another email address, phew!
    Sorry for the bother.
    Trish

  21. I have your new cookbook (ebook) and would also like to have it in hardcopy. Do you have plans to do a print edition?
    Thanks.
