The whole idea for slow cooker freezer meals came from me doing many months of once a month bulk freezer cooking. I loved the concept and loved all the pretty food ready to freeze at the end, but it was overwhelming and exhausting. At the end of my cooking day, my whole body would ache and I was so tired. Looking back, it was probably because I started doing bulk freezer cooking when my daughter was 6 months old and life in general was overwhelming and exhausting.

But I decided that there had to be an easier way.

The first time I assembled all my slow cooker meals, I felt like I invented electricity! It took me a year from the time I first started doing freezer cooking to come up with this idea and tweak my recipes, so it was a long awaited personal success.

What I do is the combination of the easiest type of freezer cooking, which is meals that only require assembly and no cooking on your actual cooking day by using the slow cooker, which allows you to walk away and mostly forget about it until it’s time to eat.

My book also covers why these recipes are healthy and what exactly healthy really means. Over the past ten years, I have tried every healthy fad out there from veganism to Weight Watchers to lose weight and become truly healthy. When I read Nourishing Traditions, I felt like I was home. My book is heavily influenced by the Weston A. Price Foundation and Nourishing Traditions. In my book, you will learn very basic intro information about how to transition your way of cooking into a Real Food one.

I am about 12 pounds skinnier than I was before I even got pregnant with Penelope.  Eating Real Food and these recipes is the only way of eating that has helped me lose weight! I do not count calories, I only focus on eating very nourishing and healthy foods, and my freezer recipes make up a big portion of the food I eat.

So, not only do I hope these recipes make you healthier, feel better and lose weight,  I hope you enjoy the amount of time it will save you in your life! If it weren’t for these meals I don’t know how I would get healthy dinners to the table every night.

So… who should buy my eCookbook?

Anyone who is struggling to get a healthy and nutritious meal on the table for their family every night. If you often order pizza, get take out, or worse, drive through, my Slow Cooker Freezer Recipes will be your saving grace, promise.

Anyone who manages to get a healthy dinner on table every night, but would love to have several easy meals in your arsenal so you don’t have to work so hard every night and you can spend more time with your family instead of slaving away in the kitchen.

Anyone who travels a lot and needs to leave food for their family to make in their absence.

Anyone who is ill or just had a baby.  These are the perfect delivery meals!

Anyone who has no idea how to cook. If you can chop vegetables, you can make these meals. If I can make these recipes, so can you! So bachelors, college kids, this is for you, too.

Anyone who likes to plan ahead and buy items in bulk to save money.

Anyone who likes using their slow cooker but would like to make sure those meals are actually healthy AND tasty.

Who should not buy my eCookbook?

Anyone who hates their vegetables soft. I’m sorry but if you cook with a slow cooker your veggies are going to be soft. There are ways around it, you can add your veggies the last 30 minutes of cooking or cook them separately, but in general if you have texture issues you may want to stick to crisp stir fry (but do it with healthy oils)!

Anyone who is a French trained chef. If you are ambitious and a perfectionist when it comes to cooking, just pass this on by. This eCookbook is for tired Mamas who want to get a pretty darn good meal on the table for their family, and they are not entertaining fancy people.

But for everyone else, this book is for you!! It will change your life!

What’s in the book:

This eCookbook has 15 new recipes in it, 35 total. I have included a couple of one dish freezer meals for variation and even included my family’s famous empanada recipe in it for extra fun. Everyone always asks me for the recipe, so here you go!

It also has all my classic recipes, some that have been updated and tweaked just a bit for added flavor so they are different than what is on the blog right now.

All the information you need to transform your eating and grocery buying habits. The chapters at the beginning are a complete introduction to Real Food.

It also includes grocery lists. I divided up all the recipes into groups of three. So you can easily shop for 3 recipes, which of course makes 6 meals.

Each recipe has nutrition info, so you know exactly how many calories, protein, etc., that you are consuming. Although, I will mention, try not to count calories and just focus on eating good quality, real food and you will be lean eventually, promise.

And lastly, the book includes some super cute labels that you can print out and place onto your freezer bags. It will tell you the name of the recipe, any items that need to be added the day of cooking and a place to write the day you assembled and placed in your freezer.

Blank pages for notes and adding in your own family favorite recipes.

Here are what other Mamas are saying:

“I started using your recipes a few months ago when I went back to work after my son was born. I have saved so much time and energy! It is so nice to take one day every couple of weeks and freeze meals away and then the day of drop a bag in the crock pot. Instead of worrying about what I’m making when I get home at 5:30, I know that I just need to prep a side and then dinner is already done. Thank you so much! I did order your eCookbook and I am looking forward to printing the labels and trying the Paella!”

“I used to think the slow cooker was only good for a pot roast. These recipes are so creative, and delicious! I LOVE that I can prepare 10 days of complete, nutritious meals in about 2 hours. I now have the freedom to go out and have fun with my toddler knowing a home-cooked meal will be waiting for us at home. Thanks, Stephanie!”

“We have now gotten to try all of  your classic recipes at least once and we are huge fans! :)  I made them all one day when I was 34 weeks pregnant and then had my daughter at 36 weeks.  We (five of us) have been living on them and I still have 4 more bags to go!  Looking forward to the new recipes and my next big cooking day!”

“I just ordered your cookbook and I must say, your recipes have changed my life!!  I have a 6 month old son and a very busy work schedule, I love that I can come home and have a wonderful dinner (and lunches for the next day) ready for my husband and I with so little clean up.  I deal with a lot of guilt about not spending as much time with my son as I would like to because of work, but now I’m able to spend so much more QUALITY time with him in the evenings.  Thank you for writing this cookbook, but also thank you for giving me more time with my family!”

“I just wanted to let you know – I LOVE LOVE LOVE your e-cook book! Tried 2 different recipes already and… OMG! :) Delicious! Thank you so much for saving my time, our money and our health! Can’t wait for what you can come up with next! :) :):) Have a wonderful weekend!”

“I am a new follower and I just wanted to say THANK YOU for creating recipes for the freezer that use real food! Baby #2 is arriving in 10 weeks or so and I’ve been wanting to get on-board with the whole “freezer meal” trend right now (I’ve got several friends who love it) but I was having a hard time finding recipes that would work for the way my family eats… and then I came across your blog (via Pinterest and then through another blog)! I’m a happy girl and SO looking forward to preparing and then tasting the delicious recipes you’ve created! You’ve made my life (and current stress level) so much easier! I think my husband will be thanking you as well as we get through the next few months of Baby prep. ;-)

“Just ordered your cookbook! I can’t wait to make my shopping list and get started. Baby #4 is on it’s way, and I’m stocking the freezer. So excited that these are truly healthy recipes!!”

“So is it divine intervention or did I get jinxed…? A day or two ago I put your ‘healing chick soup’ into the fridge to thaw. made it today and I now have a 101.2 fever! lol. It is yummy and makes my throat feel better, sure hope it works on the rest of me!”

“I love your ebook as well! A life changer!!!”

“They really are great. We make the carrot/ginger soup at least once a week and my baby girl gobbles it up :)

“Life changer. I know that’s a bold statement, but supper is what holds our family together, and now on busy days that I haven’t planned for…there is always something last minute in the morning to do about it. Woke up with no power today (and haven’t had any all day..) I had planned to throw the frozen bbq chicken in crock pot. With no power, I could of easily just blown that plan off and planned take-out, but I took the time to drive my crock pot to my bff this morning and have it cook in her kitchen all day. Now she is intrigued as she’s been tasting it all day and I am sure will buy the eCookbook!”

“I lost 8 lbs the last 2 weeks with these wonderful meals. I’m so excited because the baby weight from my second son just would not come off. I have hope now.”

  1. Hi Stephanie,

I downloaded your book today and am excited about it, buuuuut it didn’t work right. I was able to download the pdf but not all of the text shows up. This appears to only be with the ingredients – I only printed one recipe so far to make sure my eyes weren’t just tired. For example, cumin beans – this is how the ingredients list reads….

    3 ups onions, hopp
3 to 4 jalapeno peppers, chopped
    6 to 8 g ri lov s, jopp
    4 y l v s
    t l spoon of umin
    2 t spoons of s alt
    t spoons of p pp r

And then the other ingredients on the right (Add day of).

So what do I do?? Thanks!

  2. April Thomas says:

We purchased the ebook but never received a link to download the book. Help!

  3. Hi Stephanie! I bought the eCookbook this week and am excited to prepare the slow cooker meals this weekend!!! I cannot find (I know I’m just overlooking it) the size labels I need! Could you share?

    Thanks!

    Natalie

  4. Hi! So I am interested in buying your book! buut, do I have to use paypal? because i would much rather use my debit card…..please let me know, also…I’m not sure if I’m even on the right site to buy the book..thanks!

    • Yes, right now the only way is paypal. I think you can do an e-check through them if that helps. I do plan on putting it on amazon later this year and then you could use your debit card then.

  5. HI Stephanie! I tried to order your ebook just now, and Paypal (I think) was acting up. It took my info but then gave me an error message that said: “This invoice has already been paid. For more information, please contact the merchant.” Can you help and/or tell me if my payment went through? I’m eager to get cooking! Thanks so much, Victoria

  6. Hello – I would love to download your book, but would you be able to help with converting some recipes to UK ingredients? Some things aren’t available here (like buffalo sauce) and some sizes are different (I have no idea what the size of an American stock cube is for example).
    Thanks

    • Oh gosh, I never thought about that! You don’t have BBQ or hot sauce in the UK? I had no idea! I actually have a homemade verision recipe on my blog as well. Let me think about how I could the conversions, I think it is too late for this book. But I will def do it for my brand new cookbook coming out next year.

  7. Just read the entire cookbook, so excited to try it! We received a huge bag of cilantro from our CSA this week, so our first recipe to try will be the Cilantro Lime Chicken. :-)

  8. It is probably hiding in plain sigt, but how do I order a copy of the book in print?

It is neither Eco friendly nor modern, but I love me a cookbook. :)

    Thank you!!

  9. Hi Stephanie, I just bought you ecookbook and I am anxious to try your recipes. I am having a problem downloading the book. Ejunkie said to contact you because the link expired. Help. Thanks!

  10. HI
I tried to download your ebook to my kindle fire today. After I paid for it and got to the download page &it said it was starting, nothing actually happened and I didn’t get the download.

    • Hey Deb, it is a pdf so it won’t download to a kindle. If you have a smart phone or a regular tablet, it will though and of course you can download it to your computer.

  11. I have the original version of this cookbook, I bought it in July. Do I have to pay full price for the update, or is there a discount of some sort? Thanks!
    Dawn

    • Sorry Dawn but there is no discount for those who bought the book back then. On top of the 15 new recipes, I revamped the entire book. I am going to have a little flash sale for Valentines Day soon, only folks on my email newsletter list will know about it, so get on that if you haven’t already!

      • That is disappointing. I’m sure I would have waited had I realized. It seems like most of the eBooks I’ve bought, when updated that author provides the update for free, or there is a coupon code for previous owners. Sort of a goodwill gesture to encourage positive word of mouth. It is just too expensive to buy the same book twice.

        • Sorry about that. I am pretty much winging it here and learning as I go. I will see if I can try to figure something out. The next book will be a completly new book, and not an update.

  12. I’m trying to download the ecookbook but when i click on the BUY NOW a “pin it” box pops up… I can never get to where i can buy it :-(

  13. Do your chicken recipes use chicken breasts or whole chickens? We raise and butcher our own chickens, so I always have whole chickens.
    Thanks,
    heidi

    • You will like my recipes. I use all different parts for that very reason, except I buy our chickens from a local farmer and do not butcher them (mad props to you!). And even if my recipe calls for thighs, you could use breasts or legs and vice versa. :)

  14. I picked this cookbook up as part of a wellness bundle after seeing a guest post on 100daysofrealfood.com LOVE it! Such an awesome way to cook. It has also inspired me to prepare some of our old favorites this way too. I have found that the portions are very generous for our family of 3, so I started dividing them into 3 packages instead of 2. Works well. Great job!
