Transitioning my look from day to night does not often apply to me. As a work at home mom, I typically work in my pajamas till right before I have to pick up my daughter from preschool and then I throw on a simple top and pants, usually a t-shirt and jeans.
But some days I have meetings in the evenings and I have to look nice and I don’t want to change twice. For those days, I will pick a simple dress or skirt-shirt combo. For the day, I can wear it with flats and a few pieces of jewelry and light makeup. To transition to a night look, I can add heels, more jewelry and a brighter lipstick. Or I will add a blazer or light cardigan just to give it a more polished, finished look to it.
Changing your hairstyle to a night look is another fun thing you can do, maybe put it up in a sock bun or curl it.
You could also change out your bag. During the day my bag is ginormous because, well, I am a mom. But when I am out a night, I don’t need all that stuff and I can take a small clutch or bag.
Do you have any great tips for how moms can take their look from day to night?
