Link Love Friday the 13th! 7.13.12

Still can’t believe half the year is gone!  How are your new year’s resolutions coming along?  Mine are coming along pretty darn good.  I am digging my new way to come up with and organize my goals for the year. I haven’t made it to church every Sunday, but I have gone several times a month and feel good about how much I am going compared to last year.

I also can’t believe it’s been over a year that I stopped exclusively pumping for my daughter.  I am still in shock about how much I can accomplish in a given day now that I am not chained to my pump, all that time I spent pumping and washing bottles and parts and putting away milk was just mind boggling.  Over 18 months, I pumped for a total of 1550 hours, which is a full 65 days.

This is why it best to just get your food straight from the farmer, farmer’s market or co-op. Big Organic can’t be trusted either.   But most of what they make is packaged, and most everything that is packaged isn’t real food anyway.

Speaking of Real Food, have you been listening in on the Real Food Summit?  It’s line up is pretty amazing.  You will learn so much and it’s free!

This picture made me laugh,  I have only experienced the horrified, stinky eye look from a couple of women, mostly women in their fifties and all I can do is shake my head and laugh.  Because really, what can you do in those situations, yell out to them, “What’s your effing problem?!”

I was trying to do an email newsletter once a week, but I just can’t keep up.  So I am back to once a month.  If you are on the email newsletter list, you are automatically entered into a monthly cash prize!  If  you are not on it but want to, sign up here.

Penelope is the grea
kid, when she wakes she will quietly start reading books, she doesn’t wail for me to come get her immediately.  I watch her on the monitor and she is so cute sitting up in her bed flipping through books.  When she wants me, she says, “Mama! I want milk!” and then she hands me her stack of books to read her while we nurse.  If you are into Christian books, this one is cool.  It’s about three tress that grow up to be Jesus’ manger, boat, and cross.

Happy Friday the 13th!  I was born on a Friday the 13th and turned 13 on Friday the 13th, so once I made up my mind that this is a lucky day, it has always been a good day for me!  Hope you all have a wonderful weekend, I will probably be laying low still recovering from that stomach bug I got in the middle of the week.
