Flavored Water Recipe

I made two different flavored waters for Penelope’s end-of-the-school year party.  The lemon-orange slice was meh, but the lemon-blueberry one was amazing!  I loved that it came out pink, I will make this again for Penelope’s ballerina party for sure.

I used three lemons and about a cup of blueberries to two gallons of water.  I sliced the lemons thin and threw them into the beverage dispenser. Then, I added blueberries, once they were in the container, I mashed them up a bit with a wooden spoon   I added the water and ice next and let it sit for about an hour before the party started.

I have continued to make this for myself to have on hand.  It feels like you are drinking a special, sweet treat, but it is healthy!

I tried this recipe this weekend with frozen blueberries – no mashing needed! It was excellent, thanks for the inspiration :)

  4. Great recipe!! My wife made this and I loved it. I think just a little sugar really boosts the flavor :)
