Hi friends! How was your week? Mine was full as usual. My husband and I were fighting colds that we got while in Miami. So instead of attacking my mile long to-do list I had to take it easy, and now the list is 2 miles long. Oh well.
I am fixin to be on the local news today! I will be talking about my eCookbook and I how I “balance it all.” Which is kind of funny after the week I have had, but I am thrilled.
My kitchen was featured on the Real Food Kitchen series that Cheeseslave does. So excited about that. Cheeseslave is among the blogs that inspire me very much and I look up to AnnMarie’s mad business skills too.
My number 1 weight loss tip post got lots of questions about how I escaped a pregnancy in which I gained about 80 pounds and did not get a single stretch mark. I always thought it was just genetics, but the more l learn, the more I realize it’s about good diet too, check this out for more info.
A travel writer friend of mine is friends with one of the producers from this project and sent me the link to this website and blog. The birth videos are stunning. They will be coming out with a movie soon and I bet it will be fantastic.
If anyone is curious to see what my hair looked like super short check out this video tutorial I did, showing how to use Pentunia Pickle Bottom Sojourn Sling. What a lesson that hair cut was! I cut it in a postpartum crazy moment, thinking it would make my life easier. Nope, should have just cut it to shoulder length like it is now. Being able to throw it up in a bun or french twist is way more time saving. If you want, while you are there subscribe to my video channel.
My daughter’s first ballet recital is next week. How did that happen? How did she go from this tiny newborn to performing in her first recital?
Anyway, this is an Instagram photo. It’s my new obsession. I think it is my favorite social media platform, it’s so relaxing and easy to scroll through, no posts or articles to tempt me and suck time like Facebook, just pretty pictures. Follow me at MamaAndBabyLove (surprising, right?) and I will follow you back!
Alright folks, that’s all for now. I hope you all have a wonderful Mother’s Day. I will be getting to hang out with one of my favorite blogging mamas, and we will hopefully have a nice day at the beach together with our families.
And just for the record, all of you really inspire me too. I love all your comments and emails that I get daily. All of you are working so hard on personal transformation and are so passionate about your motherhood journey. It’s an honor to share this space with all of you.
Oh and one more thing, my husband is thinking about starting his own blog. He is an bad ass Environmental Engineer, but his creative side is calling to him. He wants to do a blog about fatherhood and all the water life activities he loves, surfing, fishing, etc. I think it sounds like it is going to be amazing. What do you think? Would you like to see a blog like that? All about the ocean and parenting from the perspective of a great Dad? Give him some comment love, if you think he is on the right track.

Tell your husband that he absolutely should start blogging (and keep doing it!) I love reading daddy blogs almost as much as I love mommy blogs, but all the ones I have started reading rarely last very long. And now you’re going to get me sucked into instagram (because I don’t waste enough time as it is!)
I agree, so many great blogs have given up. Blogging is a marathon, not a sprint and the ones who are successful at making a living at are the ones who just don’t ever give up! Thanks for the comment, I hope he gets his butt in gear and makes it happen.
I just watched your kitchen tour and thank you thank you thank you for leaving it looking used! I am a ft working mama and sometimes get so down on myself while looking at all the perfect kitchen/kid/food/baby pictures on pinterest, blogs, etc.! It’s so easy to get down on yourself when you’re stuck in this other mini world inside your computer monitor.
I think your husband should totally start something! My husband started a blog (he has one reader, me!) about his passion for organic gardening, and aquatics!
Lastly,,, you are so lucky to have a preschool program and dance program for 2 yr olds. Our local park district only takes preschoolers at 3 yrs old by Sept. 1; same with dance. My daughter just turned 3 in March so we get to start preschool and dance this Sept. I can’t wait!!!
Also…I just followed you on Instagram. Beginning to love it too!
Yay!
Glad you appreciated me keeping it real! You have no idea how lucky I feel to have Penelope in her dance class. It has been such a magical wonderful experience. Her teacher is amazing. It is a mommy and me class, I look forward to it each week. I become really good friends with the other moms too. I could gush about it all day long, so, so lucky.
Peter the Blogger. I like the sound of that! The family that blogs together, stays together.
Maybe Nela will be the world’s youngest blogger someday.
Dad
Yes! I am so excited to share this with him. Some of my favorite blogs that I read are husband and wife teams.
