From Your Freezer to Your Family-Slow Cooker Freezer Meals Ecookbook

The whole idea for slow cooker freezer meals came from me doing many months of once a month, bulk freezer cooking. I loved the concept and loved all the pretty food ready to freeze at the end, but it was overwhelming and exhausting. At the end of my cooking day, my whole body would ache and I was so tired. Looking back it was probably because I started doing bulk freezer cooking when my daughter was 6 months old and life in general was overwhelming and exhausting.

But I decided that there had to be an easier way.

The first time I assembled all my slow cooker meals, I felt like I invented electricity! It took me a year from the time I first started doing freezer cooking to come up with this idea and tweak my recipes, so it was a long, awaited personal success.

What I do is the combination of the easiest type of freezer cooking, which is meals that only require assembly, and no cooking on your actual cooking day by using the slow cooker, which allows you to walk away and mostly forget about it until it’s time to eat.

My book also covers why these recipes are healthy and what exactly healthy really means.  Over the past ten years, I have tried every healthy fad out there from veganism to Weight Watchers to lose weight and become truly healthy. When I read Nourishing Traditions, I felt like I was home.  My book is heavily influenced by the Weston A Price Foundation and Nourishing Traditions.  In my book, you will learn very basic, intro information about how to transition your way of cooking into a Real Food one.

I am 12 to 15 pounds skinner than I was before I even got pregnant with Penelope.  Eating Real Food and these recipes is the only way of eating that has helped me lose weight!  I do not count calories, I only focus on eating very nourishing and healthy foods, my freezer recipes make up a big portion of the food I eat.

So not only do I hope these recipes make you healthier, feel better and lose weight,  I hope you enjoy the amount of time it will save you in your life! If it weren’t for these meals I don’t know how I would get healthy dinners to the table every night.

So… who should buy my ecookbook?

Anyone who is struggling to get a healthy and nutritious meal on the table for their family, every night.  If you often order pizza, get take out, or worse drive through. Slow Cooker Freezer Recipes will be your saving grace, promise.

Anyone who manages to get a healthy dinner on table every night, but would love to have several easy meals in your arsenal, so you don’t have to work so hard every night and so you can spend more time with your family, instead of slaving away in the kitchen.

Anyone who travels a lot and needs to leave food for their family to make in their absence.

Anyone who is ill or just had a baby.  These are the perfect delivery meals!

Anyone who has no idea how to cook.  If you can chop vegetables, you can make these meals.  If I can make these recipes, so can you! So bachelors, college kids, this is for you, too.

Anyone who likes to plan ahead, buy items in bulk to save money.

Who should not buy my ecookbook?

Anyone who hates their vegetables soft.  I’m sorry but if you cook with a slow cooker your veggies are gonna be soft.  There are ways around it, you can add your veggies the last 30 minutes of cooking or cook them separately, but in general if you have texture issues you may want to stick to crisp, stir frys (but do it with healthy oils)!

Anyone who is French trained chef.  If you are ambitious and a perfectionist when it comes to cooking, just pass this on by.  This ecookbook is for tired Mamas who want to get a pretty darn good meal on the table for their family, and they are not entertaining fancy people.

But for everyone else, this book is for you!! It will change your life!

What’s in the book:

This ecookbook has nine new recipes in it, twenty total.  I have even included my family’s famous empanada recipe in it for extra fun.  Everyone always asks me for the recipe, so here you go!

It also has all my classic recipes, some that have updated and tweaked just a bit for added flavor.

It also includes grocery lists.  I divided up all the recipes into groups of three.  So you can easily shop for 3 recipes, which of course makes 6 meals.

Each recipe has nutrition info.  So you know exactly how many calories, protein etc that you are consuming.  Although, I will mention, try not to count calories, and just focus on eating good quality, real food and you will be lean eventually, promise.

And lastly, the book includes some super cute labels that you can print out and place onto your freezer bags.  It will tell you the name of the recipe, any items that need to be added the day of cooking and a place to write the day you assembled and placed in your freezer.

Here are what other Mamas are saying:

“I started using your recipes a few months ago when I went back to work after my son was born. I have saved so much time and energy! It is so nice to take one day ever couple of weeks and freeze meals away and then the day of drop a bag in the crock pot. Instead of worrying about what I’m making when I get home at 5:30, I know that I just need to prep a side and then dinner is already done. Thank you so much! I did order your eCookBook and I am looking forward to printing the labels and trying the Paella!”

“I used to think the slow cooker was only good for a pot roast. These recipes are so creative, and delicious! I LOVE that I can prepare 10 days of complete, nutritious meals in about 2 hours. I now have the freedom to go out and have fun with my toddler knowing a home-cooked meal will be waiting for us at home. Thanks, Stephanie!”

“We have now gotten to try all of  your classic recipes at least once and we are huge fans! :)  I made them all one day when I was 34 weeks pregnant and then had my daughter at 36 weeks.  We (five of us) have been living on them and I still have 4 more bags to go!  Looking forward to the new recipes and my next big cooking day!”

“I just ordered your cookbook and I must say, your recipes have changed my life!!  I have a 6 month old son and a very busy work schedule, I love that I can come home and have a wonderful dinner (and lunches for the next day) ready for my husband and I with so little clean up.  I deal with a lot of guilt about not spending as much time with my son as I would like to because of work, but now I’m able to spend so much more QUALITY time with him in the evenings.  Thank you for writing this cookbook, but also thank you for giving me more time with my family!”

“I just wanted to let you know – I LOVE LOVE LOVE your e-cook book! Tried 2 different recipes already and… OMG! :) Delicious! Thank you so much for saving my time, our money and our health! Can’t wait for what you can come up with next! :) :):) Have a wonderful weekend!”

“I am a new follower and I just wanted to say THANK YOU for creating recipes for the freezer that use real food! Baby #2 is arriving in 10 weeks or so and I’ve been wanting to get on-board with the whole “freezer meal” trend right now (I’ve got several friends who love it) but I was having a hard time finding recipes that would work for the way my family eats… and then I came across your blog (via Pinterest and then through another blog)! I’m a happy girl and SO looking forward to preparing and then tasting the delicious recipes you’ve created! You’ve made my life (and current stress level) so much easier! I think my husband will be thanking you as well as we get through the next few months of Baby prep. ;-)

“Just ordered your cookbook! I can’t wait to make my shopping list and get started. Baby #4 is on it’s way, and I’m stocking the freezer. So excited that these are truly healthy recipes!!”

“So is it divine intervention or did I get jinxed…? A day or two ago I put your ‘healing chick soup’ into the fridge to thaw. made it today and I now have a 101.2 fever! lol. It is yummy and makes my throat feel better, sure hope it works on the rest of me!”
“I love your ebook as well! A life changer!!!”
“They really are great. We make the carrot/ginger soup at least once a week and my baby girl gobbles it up :)
“Life changer. I know that’s a bold statement, but supper is what holds our family together, and now on busy days that I haven’t planned for…there is always something last minute in the morning to do about it. Woke up with no power today (and haven’t had any all day..) I had planned to throw the frozen bbq chicken in crock pot. With no power, I could of easily just blown that plan off and planned take-out, but I took the time to drive my crock pot to my bff this morning and have it cook in her kitchen all day. Now she is intrigued as she’s been tasting it all day and I am sure will buy the eCookbook!”
“I lost 8 lbs the last 2 weeks with these wonderful meals. I’m so excited because the baby weight from my second son just would not come off. I have hope now.”

Thanks again for your support, it means the world to me!

Im in the process of taking back over my health and my family’s too by switching to whole foods. It is a bit hard and scary process after so many years of the toxic preservative! So thank you for sharing your love with us and I pray this helps me as a newbie in the process! And that awesome crock pot would make it thot much easier! ;) congratulations and best luck in all you do! Thanks again for sharing!

  10. Angela says:

Before I buy it I wanted to know if I have to buy it from my iPhone if I want it on my phone. Or can I buy it from my computer and then somehow access on my iPhone? Thanks!

I just read all of this and feel this is just what my family needs. We are a mess when it comes to dinner. I get home at 5pm and feed the kids something healthy. But eat my dinner at 9pm. I try to eat vegan and gluten free. But it is just breaking my family big time!!! We never eat as a family. I don’t have a medical condition that requires me to eat that way so I think I am going to read the book Nourishing Traditions and reconsider my eating habits for the sake of my family.

    Hopefully the eCookbook will help!

    • Once you buy it you will get an email from Ejunkie with a link to download the book, you can download it 4 times. So you could download it on your computer and your phone. Hope you enjoy it!!

  11. Christal says:

Stephanie, I have searched high and low on my Samsung note phone that Ido most of my readings from. I still can’t find your new Ecookbook thot I bought the day it went to $4.99. It hasn’t shown up in an Ejunkie email or anywhere. It did show up on our papal account.. Im just lost as to where it went from there! I can’t wait to read it and if I must repurchase let me know! Thank you! And congratulations!

  12. The hubby and I decided on the Valecian Paella group for our first shot at freezer cooking! Going shopping tomorrow! I’ll be having a baby this month and we bought your cook book to get us through those first few weeks!

  13. Debbie says:

what size slow cooker do you use? mine is a medium sized one that feeds 4-5. how would i change your recipes to fit my slow cooker? thanks!

  14. Hi Stephanie, just downloaded your ebook – it’s what I’ve been looking for for ages! I love the convenience of slow cooking and freezer cooking, and your book combines the two! Can’t wait to try some stuff out! x

  15. I’m interested in your cookbook and am new to your site and was wondering- are all your crockpot recipes gluten free and sugar free?

  16. Anonymous says:

I would love to see a table of contents… the thing that is keeping me from buying this is that I don’t know if I’m going to get twelve recipes for beef, which I won’t ever cook. How many are chicken? How many are vegetarian? What are the proportions of vegetable to meat?

  17. Is there any chance you’ll take Paypal? I really prefer to use them to buy things online; they’ve caught people on my account before trying put fraudulent charges on and notified me before anything happened (when the bank didn’t even seem to care!). I wanna try all of your recipes!

    Thanks.

  18. kelsey moran says:

thaaaaaaank youuuuuuuuuu i am STOKED to get my book in the mail. the price is right, its easy, HEALTHY, and doable. thank you thank you thank you!

  19. Julie G. says:

I ordered the book and paid thru paypal, but something went amiss. I didn’t get the book. Could you please email me how to resolve this!

  20. Melissa April says:

I ordered your cookbook on 6/28 and have not received it. Any idea on if it has shipped yet?

    • It’s a pdf. You should have gotten an email from a company called ejunkie with a link to download it. Sometimes it goes into people’s spam folder, so if you don’t see it, just email me and I will get you a copy. :)

  21. Hi! I have your curry chicken on my weekly menu on my blog this week! I have also posted a link to your cookbook. I hope more people can find you and your great recipes.

    http://www.mommawithaplan.blogpot.com

  22. I love your recipes. Hope someday will also make 1 Vegetarian meal book :) :)

  23. I ordered your ebookbook and I am enjoying reading but it said it was 5.99 and I was charged 9.99 did I order it wrong?

  24. Did I hear you have a print version for sale? I never end up using my eCookbooks, which is lame I know- but I don’t like to touch the device while cooking :)

  25. I was pretty skepitcal when I got your cookbook, I am not a big fan of crockpot dinners. After making 4 of your recipes now, I am converted. They are delicious and super easy, which is imporatnat since I have a 3-year old and a 9-month old. Thank you for your cookbook. It was well worth it!

  26. Rachel Koby says:

Hi. Is this Paleo friendly? I am gluten, dairy, soy, and corn free.

  27. You have a lot of beef/pork recipes there.:-p We don’t eat red meat or pork, will you be expanding more chicken, turkey (or even chicken or turkey sausage) recipes in the future?

  28. I was trying to order the book after I read about it on 100 Days. I could not find anywhere to put in the coupon code to receive the discount. I will still order it, but we are on a budget and I try to save where I can. I know that it ends today.

    • There is a little box on the left hand side of the screen when you are viewing your cart. You can put it in there. And it also only works for the ebook version not the print book. ;)

  29. Just bought the 2 ebooks. Not very computer savy and cannot find the grain free dessert recipe I just paid for. Also have no way of contacting you. Any help?

  30. Once cooked, can most of the cooked meals be frozen?

    • Absolutely. I like to refreeze them in smaller individual portions, for lunches or nights when I am home alone and don’t want to make a family sized meal.
