Recently, I have been in the mood to take the organization in my kitchen to the next level. I cleaned out my pantry, spice cabinet and utensil drawer.
This drawer was particularly bothersome. It got to the point where I couldn’t even get the drawer closed. Crap was everywhere. It was overstuffed, crowded and chaotic.
Every time I went to get something out of the drawer I tensed up.
But then I bought a drawer divider and put things in their place.
Ahhhh, much better now.
I needed more room, so I decided to take out all of my wooden spoons and put them in a clay mug on my counter. I think I might do something like this with them, but I am not sure yet. Is rainbow wooden spoons too much?
But on to the real point of this post.
I organize my house, when I want to organize my mind and heart.
When things need to be moved, rearragned, thrown out in my soul, I do the same in my house.
The process is one and the same for me.
As I am cleaning out the junk in my drawer, my soul is simultaneously cleaning out the junk in my mind.
I 100% believe that the state of your house, directly correlates to the state of your mind.
And I just like to see things all lined up in a row. I am a Mindful Mama, but oh yes, I am a wee bit OCD too. :)
