Beginner Crochet Video Tutorial Series: Finishing Your Stitch

Have you guys been working on your chain scarf?  Were you stuck on how to finish it off?

Well, I have made a video showing you how to do the slip stitch.  The slip stitch is a connecting stitch.  It is typically used to connect items worked in rounds (think hats) as opposed to things worked in rows (think scarves).

Here is a video showing you how to connect each chain in your chain scarf.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks so much Ayana for this wonderful series!

My daughter had a miscarriage and we almost lost her. They said 5 more minutes and they would not have been able to save her. I want to make a tiny blanket for a shadow box for her. She has ultrasound photos and arm band. I know she had already heard the heart beat. It would have been my 3rd grand baby. Can you email me a pattern to crochet for the shadow box? I will not sell it, etc. Thank you.

    • So sorry to hear about your daughter. I don’t have the pattern, but you will be in my prayers and a blanket for the shadow box is a lovely idea. I have a rosary as my keepsake momento with our sonograms. Perhaps if you are Catholic or feel called to it, Trendy Traditions is the company that makes tiny rosarys for lost babies.
