Our Lady of La Leche is an amazing little Catholic shrine in St. Augustine, Florida. I first heard about this place from a dear friend of mine. She brought me back a necklace and prayer card from her visit. For a long time I wore the necklace and prayed hard for my sweet Penelope to come to me.
On Mother’s Day in 2008, I visited the shrine with Peter. We both went in and lit candles and prayed, well I prayed and Peter respectfully sat next to me. I prayed for a healthy baby to come to me.
This is the first shrine dedicated to the Blessed Mother in the United States. Like me, pilgrims who make their way to this shrine, ask for blessing in motherhood and for healthy children.
The statue at the front, is of Mother Mary nursing baby Jesus, and it is just stunning.

Hi my name is margaret i,m 29 i,m married 6 years 7 in november i just wanted to ask if any one was vising the shine of our lady if la leche to pray for me to have my own baby i have no children and we are both desparate to have ababy i had 6 miscarrages so it,s been tuff i ask that u pray not only that i concieve be mosy inportinly that i will carry a baby full term and have ahealthy baby i proberly won,t ever get to the shine so i ask that u will just say a special prayer i always pray for childless couples so thank you so much
I will certainly say a prayer for you. The prayer I mentioned in the post is powerful, I would start praying that specific prayer on your own. I also recommend a book called Spirit Babies. Lots of love to you.
It’s very beautiful, before I read the comments, i just burst into tears. I just heard about Our Lady of La Leche just today, and I guess I’ve been searching for an answer why all these things been happening to me. All me and my husband wanted is to get pregnant. We’ve been trying to get preggy for 7 years. I had an ectopic preggy and got my tube cut. We tried IUI, IVF and pills, but still no luck. Please pray for us. We really would like to have a child of our own. Thank You
